that enables a complete ultrasound infertility work-up from the convenience of
your office in five easy steps.
Ultrasound Pre-Scan
Insert ultrasound probe and survey anatomy and observe for any abnormalities.
Locate the following in the transverse view:
- Endometrial stripe and cornua
- Left and right adnexa
- Tubal course
Catheter Placement
Prepare and insert balloon catheter per its Instructions for
Use. Inflate balloon and position above
internal cervical OS.
Uterine Cavity Assessment (Optional)
Perform an SIS per your practice
guidelines.
Fallopian Tube Assessment
Attach FemVue to balloon catheter, slowly depress
plunger, and observe bubbles exiting catheter.
Bubbles may flow through cornus, over tubal course,
and exit adnexa/ovaries.
Complete Procedure
Remove ultrasound probe and catheter. FemVue
provides real-time feedback so you can immediately discuss
next steps with your patient.
